James V. Nelson
Executive Director
Jim joined the Nevada Association of Employers in 1996 as a Human Resources Representative. In 1999 Jim was named Executive Director of NAE. Jim has over 20 years in the unemployment insurance field. He was responsible for the total unemployment administration for over 400 Nevada employers. His background includes unemployment hearings, charge statement audits, presentation of progressive discipline seminars, and legislative matters including lobbying. His relationship with the Employment Security Division has resulted in positive regulatory changes for Nevada employers.
Jim is committed to providing superior Human Resource consulting and training services to the Nevada business community. Empowering members with up-to-date information enables them to problem solve and remain in compliance with the ever changing and expanding federal and state regulations facing employers today.
He is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, with a BA degree in Criminal Justice. Jim is currently on the Board of Directors of the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association and Nevadaworks.
Gail Doyle
Membership/Ancillary Services
Gail Doyle joined NAE June 6, 2005. She has a BS in Education from the University of Nevada Reno and a MBA from National University in Sacramento, CA. Gail has extensive business experience that includes managing a training program in the Bay area and teaching computer skills at TMCC and her own business. At NAE, Gail is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Database management, employee opinion surveys, and various other jobs.
Carol A. Eastwick
Membership Services/Training
With over 35 years of experience in various types of companies, Carol brings insight and perspective to the training needs of our member businesses. During this time, Carol consulted for 17 years to small and large companies gaining knowledge and ability to customize training in order to meet specific business needs. At NAE, Carol manages the training function, coordinating and implementing a wide range of public and on-site training programs and offering one-on-one coaching, needs assessments and other consulting services to member and non-member companies.
Community activities include membership in the Reno Centennial Sunset Rotary club where she has served as Vocational Chair, Public Relations Chair, and currently President. Carol has a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Masters in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She is a Certified Training Manager & Designer/Developer from Langevin Learning services, and is trained as a Stephen Covey "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" facilitator.
Rob Parker
Human Resources Representative
Rob joined the NAE in 1997. Prior to that, he held the position of Regional Human Resources Director for an international distribution firm, and Vice President of Human Resources for a major financial institution. He brings more than 25 years of HR generalist experience to the NAE, in both southern and northern Nevada. Rob is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, with a BS in Business Administration, majoring in Human Resource Management.
